When I was a kid there was clearly no way to eat a plate of it vegetablesof any kind. Obviously they invented a thousand and one things to make them look more attractive, that if I would get badges, that if I would grow taller than a tree, that if this or that character would eat them… no, there was no way.
But one day my desperate mother made me one spinach cream…delicious!, the most delicious thing my Holy Mother had ever made for me.
And now that I’m older I love to replicate this recipe and I’m sure I’ll get one delicious Cream of spinach that not only nourishes my stomach but also caresses my heart.
That’s why I’m sharing this today great and easy recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch spinach, stemless and perfectly washed
- 90 g butter with salt
- ½ piece of finely chopped white onion
- 1 garlic clove finely chopped
- Adequate amount of chicken broth
- 1 cup whipped cream
- vegetable oil as needed
Procedure:
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter with some vegetable oil. We’re going down to medium heat
Add the onion and garlic until caramelized. If necessary, reduce the heat even more to keep them from burning.
Add the spinach leaves, salt and pepper to taste, and the chicken broth until covered
Let it break up the boil and mix.
In the blender we add the whipped cream, return to the pot and correct the seasoning.
We serve and accompany croutons or cookie bombs.
And as simple as that, we have a delicious spinach cream that is sure to take you to heaven.
